Attention to all runners: THIS IS AN OPEN ROAD ULTRAMARATHON!
You will be traveling through the city on pedestrian paths and sidewalks, but you will encounter vehicular traffic throughout and must follow all pedestrian laws.
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, race through an urban style 50-miler with your favorite running partner and team up to run through the beautiful sights of Miami, Florida. You will be running through some of Miami's hottest neighborhoods; Wynwood, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Calle Ocho, Coconut Grove, Brickell, and more.
This is a two-person team race. Both runners will be running the full 50 miles together. No crew, no aid, only each other, totally self-supported. And no individual finishes. You either finish together or DNF together.
There are three divisions; Male Team, Female Team, and Co-Ed Team.
The course will wind through some of Miami's most historic and scenic areas.
Runners will be 100% dependent on themselves. Drop bags will be allowed at each checkpoint. There are no aid stations, only checkpoints. Runners will need to navigate their way throughout the city to checkpoints by following their directional cards with step-by-step directions to receive their next batch of directions for the next checkpoint. The course map will not be available beforehand. Part of the challenge and uniqueness of this race will be to be able to follow the directions given and to successfully reach the next checkpoint for further directions on the course.
The first portion of the course map will only be available the morning of the race before the race start. The rest of the course map will be given to runners as they check-in along the race between certain manned checkpoints that will be placed along the route, approximately every 10-15 miles.
Race check in and packet pick up - Friday 6/13 between 3:00pm - 7:00pm
We will have a pre-race briefing at 6:30 pm on Friday, 6/13. This is a mandatory meeting for runners that have not participated in a Miami Ultra Race Series race before. During the meeting, we will cover safety information and how to use your directional cards.
Race Start - Saturday 6/14/2025 at 5:00am
The course time limit for the 2025 race is 16 hours. The finish line will remain open until Saturday 6/14 at 9:00 pm.
All pre-race activities (check-in and meeting) and post-race festivities, including the Start Line & Finish Line, will take place at Hero Martial Arts at 17049 S. Dixie Hwy. Palmetto Bay, Fl 33157.
The race is limited to only 30 teams.
